Mystic Mushroom Cafe all started with a challenge—literally. AK, a night nurse who practically ran on coffee, dared her boyfriend Jon to eat healthy and work out for 30 days. Feeling competitive, Jon accepted—but then threw down a challenge of his own: “Give up coffee.”

AK was horrified. Coffee was her lifeline! How would she survive at work? But Jon insisted—reminding her how all that caffeine gave her jitters and anxiety. Jon suggested she try mushroom coffee instead. AK has heard about mushroom coffee but hasn't tried it yet. Now she has a reason to do so.

They tested different brands, loved how it made them feel, but weren’t exactly thrilled with the taste. Then one day, craving a café experience while sticking to their challenge, they searched for a place that served mushroom coffee. Turns out, a lot of people hadn't even heard of it. “Mushroom what?” “Is that soup?” “Are you pranking me?” "Mushrooms like psychedelics?" 

That’s when it hit her—with all the amazing benefits of mushrooms, mushroom coffee should be accessible in every corner of every city! So she decided to start her own mushroom coffee brand! Plus, she wanted a great-tasting mushroom coffee, she'd have to make it herself. So, with Jon as her cheerleader, she got to work. She sourced high-quality mushrooms from an organic farm, carefully crafted a blend that actually tastes like coffee, and Mystic Mushroom Cafe was born.
